Having a pet is a long commitment. For a smooth transition, make sure you confirm with the admin of the condo like the Wynwood Grand EC about pet policies prior to your move. You are going to have to take measures at home to keep your pet safe to make sure they don’t break something at home or chew on something they are not supposed to. Here are some ways to pet proof your home for both you and your pets safety.

Get them Vaccinated

Get your pet their important shots like anti rabies, infections and deworming to minimize the chances of the disease from getting worse and to protect you from rabies, an incurable disease for humans and often fatal for dogs. This also allows your pets immune system to fight them off when they get their required shots and just follow up from time to time to keep their immune system afloat. The best time to explore pet-friendly amenities and rules is when checking out your potential future home at the Wynwood Grand Showflat.

Keep Dangerous Things Out of Reach

Keep things like food that dogs are not able to eat like grapes, sharp objects that they could eat like pencils, exposed or dangling wires and things that could be broken like glass out of reach of your pet so that they don’t get poisoned or eat something that they are not supposed to. Training them to not get on chairs significantly reduces this risk of happening, but always keep an eye on them. You could get a pet camera so you can tell them off when you are away from your Wynwood Grand home and make sure to give them treats so they think of it as a good thing.

Train Them

Teach your pet some etiquette and train them not to bite, potty in proper places, not begging or eating off the table, and not to bite, break or chew on the furniture and things you have at home. Your furniture will be in one piece and you will have a clean house that does not reek. You will have a calmer dog that everyone can play with without having to worry of the pet potentially biting you or a guest.
