Pets are long-term commitments that you must stick to; they are living beings and require basic care such as grooming, food, water, and a place to stay. If you live in a small space and you want a pet, options may be limited to small breeds because they can manage. However, you should ask your homeowners’ association first and see if you’re able to.

Here are some small breeds to consider if you are looking for a dog to liven up your new home. When buying a unit in an upcoming, premier condo like Chencharu Central Residences, make sure to confirm the pet policies in place.

Shih Tzu

The Shih Tzu is a breed most people recognize, small dogs that have long coats of fur, a flat nose and face and a friendly breed. The Shih Tzu originates from Tibet, these dogs have been around for a long time serving as watchdogs for their temple and companion. The name translates to ‘Lion Dog’. These dogs can be easily manageable for first-time owners and veterans, as they only need a bit of play and are adaptable.

Maltese

Maltese come from the Mediterranean and, similar to the Shih Tzu, they are small lap dogs. These dogs are cute, lively, and really playful, and are able to live in small spaces like apartments and do not require that much exercise. These dogs are hypoallergenic, perfect for people who have allergies, as they only shed a bit of their fur.

Bichon Frise

The Bichon Frisé similarly to the Maltese, originate from the Mediterranean and then the Spanish gave them to the Canary Island and then rediscovered by the Italians. They came to Europe, and then the French revived the breed, turning them into the fluffy ball of fur we now know and love. The Bichon Frisé features a soft and dense undercoat that is curly, and they are really playful and social dogs and love your attention. These dogs, however, require daily baths and brushing due to their hair growing nonstop.
