As an employee of a business, having cyber security awareness can help you stay attuned to the external environment and stand out from colleagues, and as a business owner, you must keep employees aware and vigilant against attacks in order to protect your business standing.

Who is TryHackMe?

TryHackMe was founded in 2018 by two co-founders, Ben Spring and Ashu Savani. They discovered a lack of proactive training resources in the cyber security industry, making it hard for beginners to start their journeys and for users to upskill in an easy-to-follow, enjoyable environment.

They launched TryHackMe in order to fill this niche and provide a learning environment that was both guided and explained all concepts in an absorbable manner, alongside incorporating virtual machines that users can hack and defend in action, learning skills transferable to the real world.

What is Hackerween?

Hackerween is a 5-day event that features a brand new cyber security challenge every single day. Challenges cover both offensive and defensive topics and enable users to hack into machines to retrieve flags. If you need upskilling in between, TryHackMe has guided labs to help you grasp the topics.

As the days go on, the events go up in difficulty to cater for more technical audiences – try your hand and see what areas of cyber security you need to brush up on!
