A brief vacation from the digital world can be refreshing and serve as an unplugging from relying on electronic devices and modern conveniences. The next time you want to connect with family members or relax in your Midtown Bay condo, consider these screen-free activities.

Explore Your Surroundings

When was the last time you went outside for no other reason than to appreciate the world we live in? On a bright sunny day, go out and explore your immediate surroundings. It’s best done without rushing or having a goal in mind.

Clean the House

Chores can be relaxing and entertaining at the same time, provided you direct your focus on the task and its repetitive nature. Look around, see what needs to be cleaned up or organized first, then settle in, and the hours will simply fly by.

Read a Book

Reading a physical book offers several unique benefits- the feel of the pages and how your mind gets engaged cannot be found in other pursuits. It’s an old pastime that still survives because of how it can entertain you for hours on end.

Exercise

Exercise not only occupies your mind but also does a whole lot of good for your body as well. It’s usually done outside, but you can invest in several equipment to work out in the comfort of your own home.

Try Gardening

There’s something inherently satisfying and relaxing about caring for another living thing. It’s the reason why gardening is a hobby that’s loved all over the world. Beginners can start slow and care for an easy indoor plant and go from there.

Gaze at the Stars

Lastly, you can open a window and look at the heavens. An unusual-shaped cloud or a group of stars is bound to capture your attention. This activity is best done alone or with friends and family members.
