Having to care for a child as a parent can be difficult, but also rewarding and enjoyable. The need to clean up after kids regularly can be a stressful task and your child might occasionally have a fit, which can sometimes get out of hand. You can prevent your child from being too hyperactive by channeling their energy into calmer activities and following these tips:

Spend time outdoors

It’s a great way to spend quality time with your child outdoors with the fresh air and natural surroundings. Most condos have lots of outdoor space for kids to safely move around and enjoy. Walking or playing at a park or garden at Springleaf Modern exposes your child to wider surroundings, which can help with their cognitive development.

Splash around in the pool

The water has a soothing effect that can help calm many kids. One of the benefits of living in a condo is the convenience and accessibility of kid-friendly amenities such as a pool. Let them cool down, splash around, and have active fun! You and your children can take a dip for some quality family time, as well as relax in the calming movement of the pool.

Prevent your child from eating too much sugar

Sugary foods can easily invade your child’s system, making them experience a dramatic spike in energy. Then once the sugar levels drop, the addictive substance found in sugar demands the child to beg for more. One of the most efficient ways to calm energetic kids is by eating less sweets and processed food, and sticking to a healthy diet comprised of fruits, vegetables, and lots of clean drinking water.

Minimize their screen time

Television, smartphones, laptops, and video games can trigger hyperactivity due to fast-moving images, noise, and bright colors it emits. Too much gadget use may also cause cognitive delay, impaired learning ability, and undisciplined behavior. Giving your kids moderate amounts of screen time can get them to relax and focus more on educational and learning activities.
