Having a pet in your Penrith condo doesn’t mean you get to miss out on the benefits of an indoor plant. The added greenery is good for the senses, and they make for excellent house decorations as well. Consider these six indoor plants that are safe for your furry friend.

Prayer Plant

The Prayer plant earned its name with leaves that fold when nighttime comes along. The leaves come with interesting patterns, and the plant itself grows low and wide, perfect for livening up small spaces and corners.

Boston Fern

A popular variety of the fern family, the Boston Fern is an easy-growing indoor plant that can provide lush greenery in your condo. Put it in a space where there’s plenty of natural light and it will thrive. Don’t forget to water ever so often, but check if the soil is dry when you do so.

Basil

Herbs like the basil plant not only add a natural element to your home but also serve a tasty function. Put them in the kitchen and you can add the leaves to salads or pasta. Basil can thrive indoors, but it’s best placed in a sunny window.

Lemon Balm

The lemon balm is a small plant that has medicinal leaves. Grab a few of them and put them in hot water and you can enjoy them as tea. Aside from being safe for pets, lemon balm isn’t too fussy and can grow practically anywhere inside your condo. If you have a balcony, then it’s the best spot for them.

Chinese Money Plant

The Chinese money plant deserves a mention because it adds extra luck and charm to your space. The round and shiny leaves look like coins, hence the name.

Spider Plant

Lastly, the spider plant is a must-have for beginners. They’re very easy to care for and produce an attractive foliage in a short time.
