Music streaming apps are a dime a dozen, and if you want your car audio experience to be a good one then you need only the best.

Here are 4 of the best apps to stream music free.

Spotify

Once you get connecting your phone to your car done, the next thing you should do is download Spotify.

The app has a free version where you get to access its 50 million-plus songs at up to 160kbps quality. Also, the free tier is supported by ads and the playlists are in shuffle mode.

The app is relatively lightweight and won’t take up too much space. You also have the option to download songs for offline playback. Lately, the service has expanded to podcasts and looks to expand more in the near future.

YouTube Music

YouTube has a music-only service called YouTube Music, which is like the same as Spotify. Free tier quality is up to 128kbps and it’s available on both Android and iOS platform.

There’s quite an extensive selection of songs to choose from, as well as videos if your car has a display. Ads run every now and then but they don’t interfere with the overall experience.

TuneIn Radio

TuneIn Radio is one of the best free platforms for radio. It can be played via app, browser and even game consoles and has big name stations.

Amazon Prime Music

Amazon is offering its users free music on up to 256kbps quality on Fire TV, Echo, Android and iOS. Furthermore, its library is already impressive at 2 million and counting.

It’s worthy to note that Prime Music is only free for those who are subscribed to Prime.

You’ll need to add a bass to improve sound quality if you want to make the most of your listening experience. Fortunately there are plenty of options available.
