Goldfish are one of the most well-known fish to add to your aquarium. As they come in different kinds of species, each is unique to their own qualities. Here are the most popular goldfish to add to your Dunearn House space.
Common Goldfish
The common goldfish is the most basic and standard breed of goldfish. It is a low-maintenance fish and has a streamlined body type. It comes in many colors, but a common goldfish usually holds only one shade of color.
Comet Goldfish
These look similar to the common goldfish, building the same body-type structure. It is known as the much sportier and energetic version of the common goldfish. It holds some distinct features, though, such as its ultra-long tail and flowing fins, accompanied by a thin body.
Lionchu Goldfish
The Lionchu is a hybrid crossed with a ranchu and a lionhead. It belongs in the fancy goldfish category, with a round egg-shaped body and a huge wen, its prized feature. However, they are more for dedicated fish keepers willing to take care of them very carefully, as they have lots of needs.
Fantail Goldfish
As the name implies, this goldfish type is most known for its beautiful, free-flowing tail. They are one of the most popular beginner choices as they are hardy, peaceful swimming fish. They have an egg-shaped body and a unique double tail, also known as a twin tail.
Black Moor
The Black Moor is a fancy goldfish type known for its telescope eyes and its black butterfly body when seen from above. They aren’t considered for beginners even when suggested as they have poor vision despite their huge eyes and are delicate to sharp objects, and require lots of care.
Pearlscales
Pearlscale, another type of fancy goldfish, has a ton of variety. They are known for having the roundest body shapes and being cute and round. They are very high-maintenance due to their needs, having delicate scales and a sensitive diet. Possibly caused by their curved spines or eating air as they eat pellets, which is why sinking pellets are recommended.
