You get absolute security when deciding to get a dedicated hosting service, in exchange for premium costs. The difference between dedicated and VPS is that you have a server to yourself, but in VPS it’s virtual compared to dedicated’s physical.

Shared hosting is what it sounds like- you share server space with other web owners. It’s one of the cheapest hosting solutions but then when something happens to the other websites you’re likely to be affected.
VPS is the same concept, but in terms of virtualization you get your own vps windows, for example. This means you’ll have a virtual server dedicated for your site, and other owners will have theirs too.
